Above & Beyond mix Anjunabeats Volume Six


Trance monoliths Above & Beyond have seemingly done it all, so they're going to go ahead and do it again.

Which is to say, the trio that can arguably claim to be the largest trance act in the world has once again mixed some of their favorites from their own Anjunabeats label. The compilation, entitled Anjunabeats Volume Six is a double disc set that helps to explain exactly why the trio has become so beloved. Jonathan "Jono" Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki love a good melody, and they aren't afraid to ride it as long as they can.

The first mix focuses its sights on the house sublabel Anjunadeep that has kept some of progressive's diehards in thrall, while the second disc goes straight for the gut with a high-energy melodic trance sound that has won them fans the world over—the type of music you can surely expect if you happen to be in Australia in November for their Global Gathering headlining sets.
